Trip

A group of superheroes booked some time off.
Their bus slipped off an icy road and rattled down a mountain.
They all refused to do anything to resolve the situation, what with it being their holiday.
The invulnerable one laughed, which really bothered the vulnerable ones.
One of the superheroes eventually gave in and started unpacking his cape.
He lacked the super speed ability.
By the time he'd pinned the thing on he found himself in a crumpled wreckage.
Skis snapped, holiday ruined.

Dump

Clive squatted over a Big Mac box
He unloaded while watching the other beach-goers
A pithy comment on the similarity of the contents followed
He whaled back onto a beach towel and resumed his day
His cerise skin crackles as he admires the ingenuity

Route

Cumslap caught a waft of some exciting news
The lads were leaking and coughing it up all over his puriri boxes
He dusted off the Ray-Bans and trusty white cane and slapped his AA Road Atlas of Great Britain on the kitchen table
He whipped out a pink highlighter and started marking new routes to travel as he planned another holiday

France

Rory Mints ordered a bunch of baguettes and croissants and laid them throughout the house.
He insisted his housemates wear berets and speak with French accents.
He pressed his face against printouts of French countryside and admired the views.

Holiday

Walshy decided he was left handed
Yet another one of his quirks!
He went for a holiday at the end of the garden and wrote his housemates a postcard
The ink had been smeared across the page by Walshy's famous sweaty palms
The group could only work out one or two words
"We can't read this ruddy thing mate" Debs bellowed down the garden
Walshy was ignoring the group, they weren't on the holiday with him
He sloshed another bucket of water into his pile of sand and dipped his toes in

Parthenon

Leaning against a column of the Parthenon

He scoops the sun into his crusty pink scalp

Standing masterfully on one leg with the other propped against the pillar

Safe in the knowledge that his socks protect his ankles

Tree

Christopher wrapped himself in tinsel.
He wrapped himself in fairy lights.
He smiled as he thought about christmas.
He was going to have presents at his feet.
And ornaments on his fingers.

Halloween

Agnes rebelled against the commercialisation of Halloween.
She stood proudly over the gravestones.
Flicked muck off some old bones and shoved them into her giant sack.
It was a particularly hefty sack made out of old bagpipes.
It hung nicely over her shoulder.
Sometimes air got in and the pipes began to wheeze.
Agnes didn’t like that.

Shades

A man bought some wraparound shades.
He put them on.
He instantly turned into a twat.

Paris

Surrounded by the sights of Paris,
She awaits a kiss atop the Eiffel Tower.
He takes in the view, oblivious.

California

Striding through San Francisco marvelling at his latest destination.
His gait is interrupted as he slips on a human turd,
Then trips over a homeless man,
And falls into a pile of needles.
Disappointed with finishing a week's worth of plans in 20 seconds.
He heads to the Golden Gate Bridge to end it all.

Encouragement

Damp by a road in Japan,
Of all places.
An inquisitive poet surveys.
Inspiration for a rhyme they await.
Nothing approaches.
Conversations fade in fade out,
None understood.
A car trundles by on rain slicked tarmac,
That'll do.
