Ghosts

Bertie took to hanging shopping bags in his doorways and sat waiting for them to billow
He hoped to catch some ghosts
It would be nice to have some new friends around the house

Roundabout

A motorcyclist pulled on her motorcycle helmet
And her motorcycle gloves and her motorcycle boots and the rest of her motorcycle outfit
She dunked a pillow in the middle of the living room and rode her bicycle around it
Occasionally fouling the room as she imagined cars cutting her off

Trapped

Angus Walker got trapped indoors
He pulled on his hiking trousers and paced around the house trying to reenact his adventures
There were tiny plastic cows dotted about and he charged up some old phones to play ambient sounds
He pressed his head against the carpet and got really close to one of the cows
He imagined how big it would be and started to moo

Nature

A man went to the Natural History Museum.
He gawked at the animals on display.
Did his best impressions of them to nearby grown-ups.
They scuttled the children away as he beat his chest.
Unleashed mighty roars.
And hopped around flapping his arms producing haunting squawks.
He seemed to be doing a very good job with his impressions.

Graffiti

I contemplate
What if politicians were evil
And instead of carrying briefcases they carried knives.
I cut out my stencils and spray paint this imagery onto a wall.

Car

Peter squints hard at the cardboard box.
He closes his eyes and tries again.
Still just a box!
He was positive that thing used to turn into a racing car.

Believe

Everyone said you have to believe in yourself.
Colton gave it his best shot.
He closed his eyes and imagined his flight.
For three seconds he really thought he had it.

Window

Framed view
Of the world
In the wall
Curtains open
Look outside
See things

Musings

He had deep and complex musings.
Described them all with poetry.
Everyone was well impressed with it.

Imagination

As she entered the darkness her imagination raced.
The switch was flipped and light filled the room.
There was nothing worth seeing anyway.
